Equipment Configuration Process

1. Feeding — Material feeding + pre-screening of impurities

A "B-8" scrap discharge chute is located beneath the feeder to remove fine dust and soil from the raw material beforehand. Although this step seems minor, it is crucial: if soil enters the subsequent crushing stage, it can clog the cone crusher's crushing chamber and blind the screens, reducing the entire line's efficiency by 15–20%.

2. PE600×900 Jaw Crusher — Primary crushing and capacity setting

This unit determines the production capacity ceiling for the entire line. It accepts feed sizes up to 500mm, with an adjustable discharge opening of 65–160mm. Actual output ranges from 90 to 180 tph, depending on the discharge opening size. While the line is rated at 100–150 tph, the jaw crusher acts as the bottleneck.

3. CS110 Cone Crusher — Secondary crushing; producing "feedstock" for the VSI

Material discharged from the jaw crusher enters the cone crusher for further reduction to a size of 5–70mm. The CS110 is a classic model from the Symons series, suitable for medium-hard to hard rock. Its closed-circuit design ensures that material exceeding the 2YK1848 screen specifications is returned for re-crushing, preventing large particles from entering the VSI.

4. 2YK1848 Vibrating Screen — Three flow paths

This is the most critical node in the process, handling three tasks:

5. VSI8518 — The line's core differentiator

Its function is shaping, not sand making. The investment in an additional VSI unit serves a single purpose: to transform the angular particles produced by the CS110 into cubical shapes. In the "rock-on-rock" crushing mode, particles collide with and abrade each other, keeping the production rate of fines (0–5 mm) below 12%—unlike impact crushers, which typically generate 20–30% fines.

This addresses the "special requirement" mentioned by the user: the client wants aggregates with perfect particle shape, not an excess of sand.

6. 3YK Vibrating Screen — Final Grading

A three-deck screen produces four grades of final product: 0–5, 5–10, 10–20, and 20–40 mm. Combined with the 40–70 mm fraction separated by the top deck of the 2YK1848, the entire line yields a total of five finished product grades.
