What Is a TH Series Bucket Elevator?
A TH series bucket elevator is a continuous vertical conveying device whose buckets are fixed to a high-strength round link chain instead of a belt. The chain carries excellent wear resistance, so the TH type suits high-temperature or highly abrasive materials such as ores and clinker.
The three stages are loading, lifting and discharging. Material enters the base through the feed inlet by scooping or inflow, the drive rotates the drum or sprocket to lift the loaded buckets upward inside the casing, and the buckets invert at the head to discharge through the outlet by centrifugal force or gravity.
Five structural groups make up the machine: the running components of buckets and traction component, the drive unit with motor, reducer and backstop, the upper section with drive sprocket and discharge outlet, the intermediate casing that seals against dust leakage, and the lower section with the tensioning device and feed inlet.

How Do You Size a TH Chain Bucket Elevator?
Size a TH bucket elevator from three numbers: required capacity in m³/h, maximum granule size in mm and lifting height.
Match the maximum granule size to the model
The granule limit rises with the model: the TH160 bucket elevator accepts 25 mm, the TH250 35 mm, the TH315 45 mm, the TH400 55 mm and the TH500 60 mm. A coarser feed bridges at the inlet and starves the buckets.
Add the height offset to the site height
The offset runs from H+0.9 m on the TH160 to H+1.5 m on the TH400 and TH500, and is added to the required lifting height. Baichy bucket elevators cover lifting heights of 40-60 m.
Confirm the discharge method against the material
Centrifugal discharge suits dry, free-flowing powdery or small-granular feed. Gravity discharge is safer for lumpy, heavy or fragile material, where a thrown discharge adds fines. Hybrid discharge sits between the two.
